Competition And Grading
All footy played in our southern region of Sydney AFL Juniors is ‘non comp’/development, until the age of U11 – when scoring, competition ladder and finals are introduced..
As of U12 and up , we play in graded competition that includes and extends beyond our southern region. Traditionally, all southern teams merge into the Sydney Harbour zone (city, eastern and southern based clubs).
There are a number of divisions for each age, enabling teams to play against appropriate competitors.
In age groups U12 and up, where there are player numbers enough to field multiple teams, players will be carefully assessed by neutral coaches and graded on ability accordingly. This usually takes place towards the end of pre season.
As always, we want players and their families to enjoy their footy at the Bombers above all else. Playing in an appropriate team/division goes a long way to ensuring this.

The Miranda Bombers are a junior Australian Rules football club, located in the Sutherland Shire NSW. Our home ground and club house is situated at Lincoln Oval (Waratah Oval No. 4) Rawson Avenue, Sutherland.
