Junior & Youth Boys AFL

Miranda Bombers is a great place to come and play footy. With an emphasis on friends, fun and fairness, we encourage every player to really enjoy their time learning and playing the great game of AFL, creating the best memories that will last a lifetime.

Junior Boys

Ages U9- U10 junior AFL continues to focus on skill development via training and of course games against other local AFL clubs in Sydney’s south. At present, there is no competition ladder in these age groups. Modified tackling is introduced. Field size is age appropriate.

U11’s  – Non divisionalised ladder competition in the Sydney south region is introduced.  Full tackling is permitted (no slinging, dumping or throwing to the ground).

Reduced field size.

U12s – Graded competition begins. All teams located in Sydney south, join teams located in Sydney east and inner west to form the Sydney Harbour juniors, and divisionalised competition begins. Reduced field size.

Youth Boys

Ages U13, U14, U15 & U17

Full field along with full AFL rules. U17s footy is comprised of both U16 and U17 playing ages.
