Team Roles

Junior AFL (as with all community sport) relies on parents and carers to jump in and help run each team. Aside from coaching and managing, there are a number of game day roles that do need to be filled each week.

Some roles are only required for home games and some from certain age groups.

Here is a list of roles each junior footy team will need to fill each week

Game Day Roles:

  • Coach
  • Assistant Coach
  • Manager
  • Runner
  • First Aid/ERC
  • Water Runner
  • Goal Umpire
  • Boundary Umpire
  • Time Keeper
  • Canteen/BBQ
  • Ground Set Up & Pack Up Duties

So, jump in and volunteer for a role!

Coaching

Ever thought of coaching AFL? Coaching can be extremely rewarding and a great way of involving yourself in your child’s sporting life. We fully support our coaches here at the Bombers and would love to see more parents involved in mentoring our players.

Managing

Involved in every Bombers team, there’s a  great manager! We love our managers at the bombers and have a talented, supportive ‘Managers Manager’ to assist all new and returning managers with the ins and outs of coordinating a junior footy team.

If your team needs a manager and you’re up for the challenge, you’ll be rewarded by seeing your team as they have a fun and fulfilling footy season, thanks to well… you!
